Growth Performance of One Year Old Seedlings of Ironwood (Eusideroxylon zwageri Teijsm. & Binn.) Varieties

Four Eusideroxylon zwageri Teijsm. & Binn. varieties had been described. A study on growth performance of one-year old seedlings of E. zwageri varieties had been conducted to study the comparison of shoot growth performance and survival among E. zwageri varieties.  The varieties were exilis, grandis, ovoidus, and zwageri. The study was conducted in Jambi, Indonesia for one year using complete randomized design. Four E. zwageri varieties were used as factor with 6 replications. Each consists of 6 seedlings therefore, the total number of seedlings were 144.  The results showed that survival and shoot growth performance of E. zwageri seedlings were significantly different among varieties. Stem height of E. zwageri seedlings was significantly different among some varieties. The results related to stem diameter showed different characteristics among E. zwageri seedlings, zwageri variety had the biggest diameter. It was significantly different from ovoidus and exilis, but not significantly different from grandis. The differences among E. zwageri seedlings in shoot dry weight parameter were identical to the parameter of stem diameter. The lowest value of branch angle belonged to zwageri. Based on Duncan multiple range test, it was significantly different from other varieties except grandis. Generally, zwageri shows the best growth performance among seedlings of E. zwageri varieties

Meningkatkan Daya Mesin Diesel jenis Common Reel yang dilengkapi Turbocharger dengan Menaikkan Suhu Bahan Bakar dan Suhu Udara

This research aims is to increase engine power by raising the air temperature and fuel temperature into the engine and its effect on the resulting of SFC. Diesel engines that are use turbocharger, the air temperatures have increased but the fuel temperature is still fixed. The problem is how if the air temperature and fuel temperature are raised whether the engine power will increase and the SFC will change. This study was conducted with experiments using a car that the air temperature is adjusted up to 100oC and the fuel temperature that goes into the engine is made a maximum of 70oC. The test results show that with rising air temperatures and fuel temperatures going into the average power engine will raise and save fuel, power and saving SFC occurs at 90°C and 70oC fuel. Rotation of engine that can produce power and fuel-efficient is at around 2000 rpm

Adopsi Platform Digital dalam Pengembangan Kapasitas Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah di Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta

The adoption of digital platforms by MSMEs in Indonesia is still very low. This can be due to the lack of capacity of MSMEs to adapt to digital technology. There are three main problems related to the capacity of MSMEs in dealing with digital platforms, namely financial resources, business operations, and business expansion. The purpose of the research is to analyze the digital platform model that can develop the capacity of MSMEs as business entities, especially related to financial resources, business operations, and business expansion. The research method used is netnography by presenting a new approach to conducting ethical and thorough ethnographic research that combines archival data and online communication, participation and observation, with digital data collection and networks. Informants in this study consisted of digital platform service providers, users, and regulators. There were fourteen informants involved in this study spread across two provinces, namely the Special Capital Region of Jakarta and Banten. Analysis of the data used is conceptually clustered matrices (matrices grouped conceptually) which are arranged to unite the main roles, research subtopics, concepts or themes together for documentation. The results of the study indicate that MSME capacity development in the adoption of digital platforms in terms of financial resources includes access to capital, preparation of financial reports and the use of accounting application platforms. In terms of business operations, it includes Human Resources management, payment systems and logistics management. As for business expansion, it includes digital marketing and online markets

Interpersonal Functions of Taboo Words Uttered by the Characters in Vacation Movie

This reserached was aimed to figure out the interpersonal functions of taboo words  in Vacation movie. Descriptive qualitative method was emploed in this research since the data were non-numerical data and the results of the research were explained in description which can be in forms of words, sentences, discourse, picture, etc. This research employed simak and catat technique to collect the data from Vacation movie. This is a technique for achieving data through listening carefully and then followed by taking note. In this research, the writer did the simak and catat technique by watching and listening to the movie carefully and then noted some words which were categorized as taboo words. Then, the data were analyzed and classified to figure out their interpersonal functions based on the theory of Zhao and Zhang (2016). As the result, there are at least three interpersonal functions of taboo words which are used and uttered by the characters in the Vacation movie. The interpersonal functions of taboo words which are found in the Vacation movie are to strengthen power and intensity, to vent pent-up emotions, and to show the acquaintance and intimacy

Meningkatkan Keterampilan Guru Dalam Mengimplementasikan PPK (Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter) Melalui Training PPK Di Sd Negeri 13 Selatpanjang Kota Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022

Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah Training PPK dapat meningkatkan ketrampilan guru dalam mengimplementasikan PPK (Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter) di SD Negeri 13 Selatpanjang Kota Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022.Hasil siklus I menunjukkan skor rata-rata 2,6 artinya Ketrampilan Guru Dalam Mengimplementasikan PPK (Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter) baik. Oleh karenanya perlu di lakukan siklus II untuk lebih meningkatkan lagi Ketrampilan Guru Dalam Mengimplementasikan PPK (Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter).Hasil siklus II menunjukkan skor rata-rata 4,5 artinya Ketrampilan Guru Dalam Mengimplementasikan PPK (Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter) sangat baik.Adapun nilai-nilai utama karakter yang menjadi fokus dari kebijakan PPK adalah: religiusitas, nasionalisme, kemandirian, gotong royong, dan integritas. Nilai-nilai utama tersebut berdasarkan nilai-nilai Pancasila, 3 pilar Gerakan Nasional Revolusi Revolusi Mental (GNRM), kekayaan budaya bangsa (kearifan lokal) dan kekuatan moralitas yang dibutuhkan bangsa Indonesia menghadapi tantangan di masa depan

Three Dimensional Aspect of a Main Character Mathilde in Guy De Maupassant’s THE NECKLACE

ABSTRACTAs other kinds of literature, prose also employs intrinsic elements in order to be considered as literature. One of intrinsic elements which is applied in prose is character. A good character is required to have three dimensions which are portrayed in prose. Those three dimensions are physiological, sociological and psychological aspects. This research is aimed to gain the understanding on three dimensional aspects that build good characters in literary works. The method which was used in this research is descriptive method. The data were taken from narration and dialogues in the short story. Then, the data were analyzed to find out the three dimensional aspects that build the main character in the short story. In the analysis, Lajos’ theory about three dimensional aspects of a character was applied. As the results, in Guy de Maupassant’s The Necklace, a main character named Mathilde also has three dimensional aspects which are interesting to be discussed. Physiologically, Mathilde is described as a beautiful woman. At the ball, she is even considered as the most beautiful one although at the end of the story she is no longer beautiful. Sociologically, she comes from an average family. Her husband is a clerk who is not able to provide her luxurious life. Psychologically, she has unappreciative, materialistic and selfish tendencies. She also suffers from poverty. ISLAMIC CULTURES IN PAULO COELHO’S “THE ALCHEMIST” BASED ON CULTURAL STUDIES

The objective of this study is to find out Islamic cultures prestented in the novel The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Qualitative method was used in analyzing the data. The data is collected from a novel entitled “The Alchemist”. The data is taken from narration which is narrated by the author, setting narrated by the author and the dialogues of the characters. So, the data is in essay forms. Then, the data is classified to find cultures presented in the novel by using the theory of cultural study. As the results, there are four cateogories of Islamic cultures. They are shepherd, caravan, broker and commission, and falconry. Keywords: novel, cultural studies, Islamic culture
